To fortify America’s defenses, the trends analysis should be coupled with enhancements to U.S. intelligence gathering that (1) loosen its restrictions, (2) sharpen its accountability, and (3) institutionalize a short-term willingness to accept inevitable failures without launching overly aggressive reprisals that fulfill Al Qaeda’s objective of vilifying America.
For the years ahead, the analysis anticipates that major attacks on America will occur on key prophetic dates and attempt to rig U.S. national elections in favor of war hawks. Our warnings about future plots focus on the seven weeks before U.S. national elections in 2010 and 2012.
2010
During the seven weeks before the 2010 U.S. national
elections, Al Qaeda will attempt to launch its greatest post-9/11 terrorist
surge to date, involving a campaign of major attacks culminating in a 9/11 sequel
in the U.S. homeland or targeting Americans abroad. In a conspicuous repetition of 9/11, this scheme will likely
target national symbols of the U.S. military, government and finance in New
York City and the Washington D.C. area.
Unlike 9/11, however, this catastrophic attack on the U.S. homeland will
likely be preceded by small-scale commando raids and bombings on the most
“legitimate” targets in the country, military targets. These relatively minor incursions will mark
the beginning a new overt campaign of terrorist attacks by Al Qaeda in America,
which will gradually escalate until the next 9/11. In November 2009, the coincidental timing of:

A rare release of a Bin Laden message,
2)
The expiration of one-year of international good will towards
the United States for having formally rejected the Bush doctrine, coming weeks
after another Bin Laden message in which he warned America that President Obama
was continuing the Bush Administration’s military aggression in the Muslim
world, and
3) A one-man Islamist commando raid on America’s largest military base (Fort Hood) located in Texas by an officer in the U.S. army (reminiscent of Al Qaeda’s most famous double agent, Ali Mohammed) who had established connections to Al Qaeda ideologues,
might signify a beginning of the expected campaign of small-scale attacks on
the U.S. homeland. Coupled with minor
terrorist incidents, Al Qaeda will continue to inspire "alert
fatigue" and a false sense of security against 9/11-scale attacks by
divulging seemingly serious terrorist plots to attack America with 9/11
sequels, none of which will be authentic until the October-Surprise time
frame.
Targets abroad during this election-eve campaign will likely be confined to premier symbols of the U.S. presence inside capital cities of the top geopolitical hotspots in the Muslim world, such as Israel, India, Pakistan, Yemen, and the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda may also attempt 9/11-scale insurgent attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq. Other possible scenarios for this time frame include attempts to crash inbound U.S. commercial flights before they reach the homeland and naval attacks on major U.S. Navy or merchant targets. Al Qaeda’s overarching bid to discredit the dovish Obama presidency, particularly its leniency towards Guantanamo Bay inmates, will likely prompt Al Qaeda to use former detainees at this infamous prison in the October-Surprise operations of 2010 and 2012.
Regarding Al Qaeda’s imitation of apocalyptic prophecy leading up to the infamous end date in the fall of 2012, Bin Laden’s death cult will likely attempt to mirror a key event of the forecasted Apocalypse War known as “the abomination of desolation”, an unprecedented attack on Israel in the years before the termination of the war. The alignment of Al Qaeda’s crusader-baiting war strategy with its emulation of apocalyptic prophecies suggests the possibility of a confined WMD attack, using chemical weapons or a radiological bomb, on Tel Aviv in October 2010. A key objective of this attack would be to demonstrate Al Qaeda’s mounting ability during Obama’s presidency to wreak havoc on the key U.S. ally in the expected flashpoint for the Battle of Armageddon.
2012: The End Game
During the seven weeks before the 2012 U.S. presidential election, Al Qaeda will climax both its “October Surprise” strategy and its emulation of apocalyptic prophecy by attempting to launch a 9/11 sequel on the American homeland (if the syndicate fails to do so during the 2010 time frame). Al Qaeda’s terrorist campaign of 2012 will aim to sabotage Obama's reelection campaign on a national-security platform. This 2012 plot may also coincide with a concerted attempt by Al Qaeda and its allies to overthrow the Pakistani government and demonstrate via a press conference that Bin Laden's inner circle has definitively acquired nuclear weapons. In addition to shocking U.S. voters, this event would aim to goad America into trying to destroy the underground nuclear weapons cache by launching the first nuclear strike in a global nuclear war that Al Qaeda intends to blame on the “Great Satan of the Apocalypse”.
Beyond impacting the election and vilifying America for invading Pakistan, these terrorist operations would endeavor to imitate apocalyptic mythology by climaxing Bin Laden’s millennial world war against “Great-Satan” America in the weeks before the widely prophesized date for the climax of the millennial Apocalypse War, during the ominous astrological alignment of the Earth and Sun with the black-hole center of the galaxy on the winter solstice of 2012. Accordingly, at this time Al Qaeda will likely attempt to climax other key battles of its global jihad, including the ongoing Yemen-based insurgency to overthrow the Saudi government and the Islamic insurgency to liberate the Palestinian territories and capture Jerusalem. During the months before the pivotal October-Surprise time frames in 2010 and 2012, these plots may likely be preceded by an unprecedented escalation of terrorist attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan. Al Qaeda’s unalterable parameters for its October-Surprise tactic and its imitation of apocalyptic prophecies for 2012 restrict the syndicate’s capabilities in these pivotal terrorist operations, confining all of its genuine plots for 9/11-scale attacks on American targets to a limited time frame of seven weeks every two years and a limited geographical scope of less than a dozen sites.
Other Attacks
Unlike Al Qaeda’s rigid schedule for major terrorist attacks on America, the syndicate’s operations against America’s allies can occur at any time. For the years ahead, the Binladensplan.com trends analysis projects plots for terrorist attacks by the Al Qaeda syndicate targeting major civilian hubs in the foremost cities of Australia, France, Japan and Britain. Additionally, Al Qaeda will likely attempt to replicate its success at enriching its revenue stream from Saudi Arabia by artificially inflating oil prices with its “terror dividend”, probably through foiled attacks on Saudi oil facilities and major government targets or an escalation of Saudi border incursions into neighboring Yemen to battle rebel forces.
In the Middle East, the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu will likely be tested by Al Qaeda attempts to incite this war hawk to invade the Jewish nation’s Muslim neighbors. On the anniversary of 9/11 in 2009, Al Qaeda appears to have begun this campaign with its first overt rocket attacks on Israel from Lebanon. Since America deprived Al Qaeda of its most powerful recruiting tool, George W. Bush, the syndicate appears committed to fueling its anti-American insurgency by goading Netanyahu into a military quagmire (in Iran, the Palestinian territories and/or Lebanon) for which America will be blamed by association with Israel. The coincidental timing of the Israel-Palestinian War of 2008-2009 in the weeks after U.S. voters rejected John McCain as the hawkish successor to Bush may even indicate some nexus between Al Qaeda and HAMAS, whose war on Israel at this time constituted an election-eve surprise for the Jewish state that rigged a close election in favor of Netanyahu.
